The path to enlightenment takes on many shapes
worthless joy, inglorious trials, signals of nothingness,
throughout my life of effort I have doubted them all.
In the darkest of random nights, motion, oblivion, resignation
an unassuming light surfaces, oblique, unsure
gently reinvents expectations
noise turned candour I age, I act,
I accept.
The path to enlightenment is now a tightrope
a fall no longer fatal
guarded in benevolence, unconditional
through all that is implied
precious beyond words.
May I be noblest
deserving of this light that bathes me
this gentle creature no longer an effort
no longer longing
for P.
