New site: Slow Portfolio

How remarkable that an age of seemingly endless digital storage possibilities is also the age of horizontal meaning: that we’re simultaneously mourning the loss of ancient treasures at the hands of extremism and tweeting our most recent dessert for posterity.
Slow Portfolio is an attempt to reconcile this paradox on a personal level. I’ve been creating visual (and later audio) work ever since I can remember: often this work has been errant and filled with involutions, circumstance and self-questioning. So, rather than store large quantities of references without particular purpose, this annotated archive is an attempt to rescue and re-invest contextual meaning into various artefacts. In hopes that, at a time that seems filled with amnesia and hallucination, the footnoting in particular will resonate somewhere, somehow.
