The day dawns gentle, a light oblique, off-white
Familiar buzzes a comforting ether
almost responsive, they sway
a journey of heroic dissipation, dignity intact.

From afar, unspoken grief rendered bytes and pixels and a tentative smile
It follows protocol and trades jokes
And demands the impossible, bathed in benevolence
We know.

Preparations, they’re called
Towards a future devoid of hardship
and a radical legacy out there, volatile, evasive,

a self-searching prophecy, untranslated
prescience, often left in haste.

In the absence of its reading, we will declare
It did exist, it did change us
wise in its discretion
noble in its humility
